Appearance: Produces smooth, thick-walled peppers about 3 inches long and 1–1.5 inches wide, with blunt tips. Fruits ripen from dark green to bright red.
Flavor & Uses: Crisp, fresh flavor with moderate heat—ideal for salsa, pickling, cooking, stuffing, and eating fresh.
Growth Habit: A compact, upright, bushy plant that produces heavy yields throughout the growing season.
Growing Notes: Start seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost. Transplant outdoors after frost when the soil is warm, spacing plants 18–24 inches apart in full sun and rich, well-draining soil. Water consistently at the base and avoid overwatering.
Harvest Note: Pick peppers when they are firm and dark green for classic jalapeño flavor or leave them on the plant until bright red for a sweeter, fully mature pepper. Cut the stems to avoid damaging the plant.
